• The Jayhawks - American Midnight - The Minnesota band's Gary Louris says his move to Canada gave him a new perspective on his native country. From the band's next LP, Sanctuary Park.
• Slothrust - Ring the Bell - Now a duo, Leah Wellbaum and Will Gorin say the upcoming What They Grow in the Garden is their "biggest and wildest record to date."
• Grace Potter - Run, Baby, Run - Advice to an unhappy friend, from the new album Tresspasser, Potter's seventh.
• St. Paul & The Broken Bones - Mess I Made - Paul Janeway says he was in an "overwhelming and generally sad time" when he wrote this song. Hopefully it helped.
• Foo Fighters - Window - Another single spins out from Your Favorite Toy. Yes, Dave Grohl actually wrote "I saw your face there in the window / You were a window cleaner letting in the sun."

Another eclectic batch of tracks just added to our New Music bin:

• Peter Gabriel - I Belong to the Sky (Bright-Side Mix) - The seventh in this year's cycle of singles making up the album O/I. The track expands in many directions over its 7 minutes plus.
• Joe Jackson - Welcome to Burning-By-Sea - Catching up with this spring's Hope and Fury album. This opening track is a postcard from a "tart of a town."
• Bywater Call - Ain't No Friend of Mine - A blistering track from the Canadian roots band's upcoming album Broken Souvenirs.
• Dominique Fils-Aime - Phoenix Rising - The Quebec artist's new album, My World Is The Sun, is "a musical bubble bath," says The Indy Review. Let it wash over you.

• Muse - Nightshift Superstar - A disco-tinged track from The Wow! Signal, which The Irish Times approvingly describes as "a glam odyssey that fuses metal, techno, science fiction and prog rock into an overstuffed inferno of absurdity."
• Phoebe Bridgers - Lost Boys - The first single from Lost Weekend, Bridgers' first album in six years.
• Valley - Vending Machine - The Toronto alt-pop trio says it's latest single is "a song about transactional relationships."
• Pete York - Idyllwild - From the upcoming album All The Beauty, this song's lyrics suggest making happy memories with one's child.
• Brooke Annibale - Make You Mine - We previously featured a couple of early singles, and now add this track from the just-released album, Bolder Font.

• Icarus Phoenix - Oh, The Joy Of Life! - This Baltimore outfit is headed by singer-songwriter Drew Danburry. Their new EP, Gallop, "explores boundless optimism and joy all through a DIY lens," writes New Noise Magazine.
• Temples - Jet Stream Heart - Critics are calling this the best track on the English band's fifth album, Bliss, which otherwise is getting mixed reviews.
• Paul McCartney - Mountain Top - Amid the sweet nostalgia of The Boys of Dungeon Lane is this echo of late-Beatles psychedelia. McCartney says he wrote it about summer music festivals, "people going off for the weekend to trip out and get stoned." 
• Broken Social Scene - Relief - Lisa Lobsinger takes the vocal lead on this track from Remember the Humans.
• Kiwi Jr. - Blowin' Up - The title track from the Toronto band's fourth LP, due in August.

The Revivalists, The Falls, Lucy Dacus, Metric, and new music from the old Rolling Stones

The latest tracks added to our New Music bin:

• The Revivalists - Heart Stop - This will be the opening track on Get It Honest, the LA band's sixth studio album, coming in July.
• The Falls - The Other Side - Another piece of solid alt-rock from this emerging Manchester UK band, following up "Open Fire."
• Lucy Dacus - Planting Tomatoes - "Living in the moment, I can feel the moment passing," Dacus sings in this life-is-fleeting song. The little details remind us of Courtney Barnett lyrics.
• Metric - Leave You On A High - The closing track from Romanticize the Dive, the Toronto band's10th LP.  
• Rolling Stones - In The Stars - From the upcoming album Foreign Tongues. These guys have been making records for six decades, and this track would fit in any one of them.

Jersey boys Brian Fallon and Pete Yorn, plus Future Islands, Theo Day, Tori Amos

• Brian Fallon - Not Bad for New Jersey - Half of a double-single the NJ native just released, his first original solo songs in over five years. It opens with that 70s Jersey-shore sound.
• Pete Yorn - All The Beauty - Yes, another NJ-born musician in our New Music bin this week, with the title track from an LP due in July.
• Future Islands - Sail - Recorded for but not included on 2020's As Long As You Are, this song is on the band's new 20-year retrospective, From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth.
• Theo Day - Leave You Behind - This 24-year-old Montreal singer-songwriter shows his Mumford and Sons influences on this new single.
• Tori Amos - In Times of Dragons - The title track from the artist's 18th album, wherein reptiles represent today's oligarchs and overlords.

• Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr - Home to Us - McCartney's The Boys of Dungeon Lane includes this nostalgic duet with Ringo plus backing vocals by Chrissie Hynde and Sharleen Spiteri.
• Peter Gabriel - Won't Stand Down (Bright Side Mix) - The fifth song to be released from o\i is "a song to encourage some sort of activism,” says Gabriel.
• Night Talks - People Pleaser - The LA band's latest single is about "overcoming your tendencies to put everyone else first."
• Sonic Whip - Over and Out - The latest song to spin out from the Dutch trio's new album.
• Broken Social Scene - Only The Good I Keep - With the full release of Remember the Humans, we pull out one more track for the New Music bin.

• Alison Brown & Steve Martin feat. Jackson Browne & Jeff Hanna - "Dear Time" - From the banjo artists' new album Safe, Sensible and Sound comes this sentimental song about the passage of time. The duo recruited Browne for lead and Hanna for backup vocals.
• Elizabeth And The Catapult - "Responsible Friend" - Singer-songwriter Elizabeth Ziman says this song "is actually about being pretty irresponsible ... about hitting on a friend when you know you probably shouldn't."
• Courtney Barnett - "Mantis" - Named for a preying mantis that appeared at her door, this song is "the microcosmic centerpiece" of Creature of Habit. "It’s a song about searching, and it helped me find my way" in writing the album, Barnett says.
• Peter Gabriel - "Till Your Mind Is Shining (Dark-Side Mix)" - Gabriel continues to release tracks from o/i with each full moon. He calls this one "probably the poppiest."
• Blu Beach Band - "Rock Band" - This Saskatchewan indie-rock outfit sings about "the chaos and charm of life in a working band." Best line: "I can’t pay the rent in good exposure."
